Winemaker`s notes:
The deep, dark red colour with elements of violet and ruby red combined with layers of diferent scents and flavours takes you on a very special journey. Aromas are intensively layered from herbal elements, combined with tomato leaves intertwined with tones of black currant, sour cherry, and traces of cedar to a soft hint of spices such as pepper and tobacco. The flavour is a perfect blend of bold, rich flavours and fruity spicy freshness. With the intensity and complexity of flavour it is best compared to a good Graves or other red wines of Bordeaux but with specificaly pleasant pepper and sour cherry undertones uniquely represents it`s Istrian origin. You are left with a smoky mocca flavour on your palate for a while after taking a sip which makes you craving for more.
Combining with food:
Teran is ideally served with lasagne with minced meat, pasta with tomato sauces and meat balls or grilled pork.
Aging potential:
best from 2014 to 2020
