Winemaker's notes:

This Muscat has pale lemon colour. On the nose, it is not so obvious as some of its younger predecessors. A bit shy for this variety but very well defined, with clear varietal character. Beside obvious sensations of Muscat grapes we can find plenty of ripe yellow fruits and bit of honey. Bone dry on the palate light to medium bodied, with good acidity levels, an attribute not often featured in Istrian Muscats. If slightly shy on the nose, the character is much more abundant on the palate, we can also find roses, where it grows and grows for quite many seconds bringing a fine, complex and savoury Muscat sensation. Lovely finish. Very much a food fine.

Combining with food:

Not unexpectedly, this is a lovely aperitif. Being dry and not to intense you can serve it with fish, especially blue fish, salads or as a summer “terrace” wine by glass. Try as well with not too spicy Asian foods such as curry.

Aging potential:

Best to drink now, while youthful, keeping its primary fruit aromas but it will bring pleasure for at least 2-3 more years till 2021.
